Anybody know this 3200... a little pricey maybe??

Hello everybody!

I think it's the onset of senility, but after years of prevaricating I'm starting to seriously look for a 3200 to have as a weekend/event car.

Been keeping a closer eye on the classifieds for the past couple of months and spotted this one:

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifi...rati-3200-gt-v8------------------2002/3695113

It looks well loved and is close to Emblem for a potential pre-sale inspection (and they will know it anyway as the servicer, which is encouraging), but I'm concerned the price looks a little 'toppy' nonetheless. Any of you experts out there have a view on the car, or indeed is it known to the forum?

Many thanks in advance!

Spotted that the other day, if Emblem have maintained it I doubt you'll go far wrong. I'm afraid I don't know the car though but someone will.

IMO the car at PK Supercars looks better value.
I love the colour and is coming from a respected Indie.

Simple, call Martin at Emblem and ask him the history of the car and their opinion of it. As Dicky says if the car has been looked after by Myles then it will be a Peach. Looks good, nearly as good as my two :)

Welcome greeny12..............That looks a lovely 3200...it is top price but low miles and loving the red carpet. Looks well looked after.

Good looking and one of the very last. Priced about right I would say for a well maintained car.

I agree, looks top drawer so worth that money IMO. Also think the red one at phil's is special, well maintained and a pro full bare metal re spray......and it shows!

Late, mint, well maintained, low mileage examples are getting like hens teeth now so I reckon this is worth every penny and considering it has been looked after by Emblem who in my opinion are the best specialist out there it is a no brainer.

I reckon I could price the one I just bought at the same ball park but I don't want to sell it, it's just too darn good. These cars will start to fetch much more once all the turds are gone. Rue the day when 3200's are priced well north of the 4200's and GS's :)

I was talking to Martin at Emblem today, as previously stated give him a ring he will know the car and give a fair appraisal but as it is one of theirs it is likely to be top notch.

Thanks everybody - appreciating the advice and the tip-off on the PK car. Wish I lived in Scotland not the South Coast!!

I bought mine from near the South coast, and drove it back up 570 miles. No better way to have a test drive! :)

LOL, not one, took about a year to appear then got more frequent, not one on Modena trip either, then lots over the last couple of months or so. Hopefully fixed, for a while, with Davys TP fitted.

I drove my 3200 from PK to London, half way back I'll admit I did get a CEL after stopping for food. Limp mode - no turbos :(

My heart sank but luckily it was just the throttle pedal position sensor and doing the 'relearn' procedure and clearing the code on my phone with the wireless OBD tool fixed the problem and it's been fine since :D
