I had a dashmat custom made when I first bought mine to cope with the summer glare out here, but removed it for shows. Now I just wear polarised sunglasses all year, but the downside is they kill the view of the gear indicator screen.
I have had the worn panel evident on that car replaced recently after using Leatherique products including crack filler and dye. I have completely re-dyed the interior to freshen the car up.
The problem with these seats, not just avorio, is it takes a lot of wear as you enter and swivel. The padding had lost its strength.
The result from all that attention is it helped to win ( shared with 2 others ) my class with the Club Maserati Inc concours last November in Sydney.

Sure it's not your stomach rumbling lads, I've never heard that sound before..??

That's a point, need some lunch!

I'd just had breakfast when I went.

Oh, they also had this bad boy when I was there. First Murcielago Spider I've seen in the flesh! (yes I have edited this post!).

Thats a Murcielago.

Good appraisal, GC. Will be useful for others considering the car.

I know it's a Murcielago. You know it's a Murcielago. Everyone knows it's a Murcielago. Haven't a clue why I called it an Aventador. :omg::frusty6::frusty5:

The engine "hunting " is probably because it was a very cold start. I imagine it would even out after not long.

The dashboard anyone can remove in 10mins. You could then take it to a good re trimmer. I wouldn't think it'd cost more than £300. If not less.

Other than that sounds like a great buy.

So the price at £25K was correct? Did they say anything about the price drop/their web site listing it at £32K? (which it still is!)
My beige seats pick up blue dye from jeans, which I avoid wearing, more the Mrs.
They do clean up though with the right cleaner, and plenty of leather conditioner afterwards.

Hi Geoff. Thanks for posting your findings. Did you look into the service history? I must say, my '52-plate 4200's avorio seats are much better than those appear on this car, and mine's now done 52k miles. But then mine has been well looked after.

You'd have thought the seller would have dealt with the niggles you cite before putting the car up for sale (especially at it's original price!).

I've seen a couple of dashtops that have been retrimmed in alcantara. Its cheap to do, comes in every colour imaginable and as its not glossy, even a light colour will not reflect in the same way. Its around £175 for the dash so factor in the same for the parcel shelf and the £300 mentioned seems about right. I wouldn't let it put me off.

£85 for a Bosch battery and £500 for a serious detail once the paint has been sorted by the dealer.

Provided its £25k, the price, spec and mileage all make it very well priced I reckon.

My only concern would be the red. There was a time not so long ago when you couldn't sell a red one for love nor money. If that fashion comes again it could hurt its value. If it's a keeper, that doesn't matter. If not, I'd play safe with grigio, Nero, or blu nettuno.

I like the red, could have red silk for the dash top and rear shelf, that would look cool and nice to touch..!!

Alcantara is a good idea, had my dash and binnacle retrimmed in black alcantara when I had my Elise, and would have no hesitation doing the same to this Maser.

There's a Full service history, mix of main dealers and specialists, Giallo did one.

The price is £25k, I think there is a bit of room for manoeuvre, but not a lot, especially if I wanted all of the bits I mentioned addressed.

One thing I didn't see (should have checked) was when the clutch was changed. Doh!

I like red too Robert but as a re-sale colour it would concern me. As would silver - my car aside as it's got a unique history!

Also like the red..ALways a desirable colour on a GS........It is a big price drop over night......but at 32k it felt way over price. Especially with what Geoff has said about the car....NOw it looks a decent buy if all the bits are done....
