Is this 4200 a little too cheap?

I agree Stuart. If I was in the market, I'd go look. No mention of service history. I suspect it's had a bit of a love tap looking at that rear bumper, but....

Loving the fact that you use the 'love tap' phrase too Mr C!!

I think that one was Grigio nouvolari..... a sort of beigey silver ish...... a pal of mine cruelly referred to it as "Jewish Racing Gold".....

Has anyone been to see this one or know anyone that has been to see it? Or knows anything more about it other than the little that is in the ad? The guy has contacted me back through Ebay so just waiting to hear back with some answers to some questions.

I expect someone somewhere would have seen it at some point over the last 2-3 years it has been knocking around for. Seems strange it hasn't sold at any money over the last 2-3 years. Unless there is an obvious reason why it hasn't of course!

I have had no luck getting a reasonably close specialist to do an inspection for me. There was Arrow (new main dealer apparently) in Cardiff but they don't offer a service and I stumbled across AD Specialist Cars in Swansea but have not had a reply as yet. Might have to be the AA or RAC at this rate as they would be better than nothing....just ;)

I would love someone to give me a nice good reason to walk away from this one as it is a long way and has a fair element of risk...even at a low price point.

If its too good to be true then it is probably a lemon. With Maseratis you get what you pay for

The seller has gone to great pains to put pics of the interior, engine bay, front, rear, and offside, but none of the nearside, I wonder if that's for a reason.

Well now we know why it hasn't sold, has been hanging around a while even at the price it is. I'm sure you can all guess what I am going to say next. Yup.....CAT D write off in 2007. Changes things somewhat.

Rear end shunt. Current owner has had it for 3 months and needs to sell. Last serviced by a garage owner who has Maserati's, he did all that the car required ( I am told) . The current owner is looking for £8,500.

Book price about £7,600.........

I was told there was no accident damage and it was a replacement engine due to water entering engine. The plots thickens....some conflicting info here it seems. The date of the CAT D was 2007. Does that tie in with the info about the accident damage?

Yep another heap of scrap worth less than the sum of its parts..no such thing as a cheap Maserati.
