Looking to get my 20" QP wheels sorted properly. Had other car done by Huntingdon company who strip, powder coat and paint the outer surface. Happy with the results, but no longer local to me.

These folk at Maldon seem good, anyone used them?
have asked their advice on refinishing my rusty nuts too.

I had my GS wheels done at Lepsons last year. They strip the wheels and repair any damage, powder coat in the required finish (I then had them painted in the correct Grigio Mercury paint) then clear powder coat them. Look great, but not cheap at c.£100 each.

Ta!
Always heard good things about Lepsons - but top price accordingly. Compared to the hassle of removing 4 wheels, leaving car immobile, ship & return wheels the price is not the hardest thing to swallow.
Maldon offer 5 year guarantee, prices £57.50 to £80 for matching colour

Wet paint then powder coat laquar is what the wheel manufacturer would have done.

I used Lepsons for my F430 earlier this year and they were a total nightmare. I had to refuse the job twice and they damaged my centre caps.

I opted for a wet paint job. (Also went to a grigio mercury colour  )
The total cost was $600 (Canadian) and that included repair of some curb rash.
They didn't even have to remove the tires!!

Had mine done by Pristine at Woburn Sands, fully stripped back, repaired and damage and then powder coated. They did a very good job even re did one wheel as it wasn't up to standard but you would have had to look hard to find out why.

I`ve been quoted over A$500 per wheel, should I get the wire wool and touch up paint.

Paid £150 per wheel for a full strip, wet paint and seal. Not cheap but they look great and the previous owner did it cheaply which meant the paint had started to flake.

I've used 'The Wheel Specialist' on 4 occasions and have never been disappointed. Not the cheapest but very good.
