Power steering cooler radiator

It can be made to fit, however, it requires a bit of welding, and the pipe is quite small, so it's a bit of a fiddly job. (Apparently).

I admire the consideration for a PAS oil cooler....but why really?
It's not as though you are driving through a rally stage sideways from opposite lock to opposite lock when the oil might get a little warm.
An unnecessary addition for a road car I would say. Bypass it?!

That's just mental - and typical Maserati!
Eb

Eb, its basically the same part, twenty quids worth of brazing and its done.

Anyone with half brain would buy a box full of left hand drive ones and have them done and sell them as right hand drive coolers for £500 a pop and clean up.....hang on....forget I said that :)

Isn't the Eurospares site differentiating between exchangers for Europe and North America/Canada rather than left hand drive and right hand drive?
The drawing for GD (Right hand drive cars) seems to suggest it is the same heat exchanger as the European left hand drive car, but with different pipework connecting to the pump and rack. It is the US/Canada heat exchanger that is different. Why would a US lhd exchanger be different to a European lhd exchanger? Different fluid? Different cooling capacity? Seems a bit odd.

The climate is hotter and the US 4200/QP have a bigger AC rad fitted too, I assume this US PS cooler has a higher cooling capacity.

Have been told that both UK and US versions are out of stock and won't be available until week 41 (I wonder if the prices will be aligned - perhaps they'll both be £100?? probably both be £1100 - ... mine's leaking (a tiny bit, just moist, nothing on garage floor).

Seems like a good candidate for a group purchase.
Im sure a radiator specialist will be able to build a few to spec for a very low price

I've got one which will be going on my car later in the year. I'm then going to get the other one repaired/refurbed.

I know someone with a new one for sale for £500. Half the price of Eurospares & Maserati if you're interested?

Thanks Sopranostu was able to supply a new one which is UK 4200/GS compatible for just under £500 and which fitted and has been fitted..so if anyone needs one and doesn't want to / can't wait until Maserati gets a new stock (at whatever price they set) in "week 41" there is an alternative.

Excellent news.

I hope you kept your old one? Get that refurbed and sell that. Should cover most of your outlay.

Nissan Skyline GTR intcooler complete kit £349 alot of kit for the money. So how can they justify the price for one bend few cooling fins and 2 end connections. To be honest how difficult would it be to fabricate a replacement we did it for the discs? views please

As mentioned earlier in this thread, the two different parts listed on the eurospares website are not RHD and LHD versions, they are US and non US versions. According to the drawing the only difference on non-US LH and RH drive cars is the pipework, not the cooler itself.

Thanks for that so again why the price difference. We cannot keep saying the price hikes are ik they are not. We go and buy gold we pay the price. These coolers are so simple their must be someone reading this who has conbections with persons who fabricate cooling systems. Two flanges three meters of tube 30 fins and a bend £1k are we stupid? Brake pipes on an old motor of mine fabricated for one of my old cars. I just cannot understand the cost 800 - 900 £ mark up. Your thoughts
