Looks like a triumph of enthusiasm over ability; a distinct lack of knowing how to feather a throttle and feed the power in. Friend of mine did something similar with a TVR many years ago and managed to leave bits of car all over the lower level of the Meadowhall underpass.

Apparently the driver races Ferraris so he should have known what he was doing

Feel for the guy, we all make mistakes and people implying he is a knob hardly keeps the camaraderie for those of us who drive fast cars. Personally I don't like mid engined cars largely due to the fact that the only car I have ever crashed was mid engined and had no traction control.
