I'm organising a trip for the lads I go to Le Mans with to North Wales for a bit of a hoon around Snowdonia in mid October. We need somewhere to stay for around 8 of us, don't mind sharing rooms with a car park where the locals aren't going to sharpen their keys on the paintwork. If there was a decent restaurant on site that would be good - oh and good beer. The Groes Inn was suggested but is full.

If anyone can recommend some decent drives that would be helpful. Evo Triangle seems to be must but any other ideas welcome.

All ideas gratefully received.

Cheers.

Hi David

I have stayed at these cabins in Trawsfynydd and there is a great pub on site in fantastic settings.

The road down to here is fantastic and you can easily link the Evo triangle into a trip here, with fantastic
drives through Bala. You could go via Bala onto Dolgellau and upto these Cabins, return via the Evo Triangle.

There is a pub on site also that does good pub grub and has great views.

Just an idea

If you fancy a drive a bit further out David, go Ruthin, Bala, Dolgellau, Porthmadog and stay near Abersoch for the evening.

Lots of places search www.abersoch.co.uk or this is a nice place to stay http://tremfanhall.webs.com/

Then next day drive Porthmadog, Beddgelert, Capel Curig, Betws - y Coed, then upto Pentrefoelas up round the Evo triangle and back via
Lllangollen stopping for lunch at The Corn Mill http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/cornmill/
