Turned a corner and recognised the nose! A 52 plate 3200 manual. 54000. £12995
Had a quick look round the car, body looked great, no dings only a couple of swirl marks , Mirrors starting to bubble though, wheels reasonable, probably could do with a refurb at some point, continentals looked good. Standard exhaust I think. Black leather interior looked good. Had PK Supercar on plates so probably known to them. If history checks out, couple of weekends spent tidying then could be a good one.

If the car is as good as their website suggests it could well be worth a look, and the price is not at all unreasonable.

I cannot believe that it's 14 years old...Feels like yesterday I read the first issue of EVO with it on the front cover....and that was 16 years ago.

Can't decide if these cars are cheap or expensive. I presume that a lot can go wrong - how much is a refurbished engine? - but there is still something very endearing about a manual 3200 without silly miles.

I loved my manual...would I have another 3200 though now....Probably not......they look great and will be a classic but the age and age related items etc would start to put me off....Parts as well must start to be in short supplier as didn't I read the factory does stock a great deal...Lovely car though.

But there are alot of used parts, alternative parts and also guides to fixing etc or people who will refurb so actually ownership is not going to be too painful in the future imo.

I love your optimism and sometimes I share it!

If it comes down to it and we all require, or will require a specific part for our 3200's, I suppose it would be cost effective to get a batch of the item made up, that's what we are good at over here, engineering..!!

If those Cubans can still run those old 50's American lumps without any supply of parts then I'm sure we can run these 90's Italian Mistresses!

I spent a bit of time in both India and Pakistan in the past, it did not matter what you were driving, somebody could fix it at the side of the road, now if they can do it...!!

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend someone to do an inspection on this car? I'm in London so I would probably fly/train up there when the inspection was taking place (and if all goes well drive the 450 miles back!).
Looks like PK Supercars aren't too far - does anyone have any experience of them and do they do inspections?

Many thanks for any input! I hope to be a part of this great community soon!

most of us in scotland use pk, top man who loves the marque. give him a ring. I know he is chockablock just now but he might be able to fit a check in, especially if you can get the garage to take it to him.

Agree PK are closest, but still about 50 miles away. It did look like a reasonable car when I had a quick look around it, but would need that all important inspection. I did it the other way round with mine. Flew to Gatwick and drove her home :)

Great, thanks guys. Looks like PK are closed on weekends so I'll give them a call on Monday and see what they can do.

My main concern is it's only done about 500 miles in the last year (I'd almost prefer to have an extra 5000+ miles on the car than to have it been sitting) but hopefully an inspection will uncover any related problems...?
