It's meant to have an annual services, so yes - I'd get at least an oil change service at the same time. They can probably do a limited service for you.

Still had the Meridian Modena plates on it when I owned it.

You don't need to change fluides for the sake of it if you've only done a few hundred miles..back in the day Maserati worked on 10k a year useing the car as a daily driver..

I've done 7k in the last 18 months my old 3200GT, It's had two services in that time which is bordering on the ridiculous!

I hadnt read that kt was only 500 miles since the service! I'd probably put 6 months of miles on it and then get it done....you wont be much over a year, so will still look right on the service history, but hopefully you'll have done a few miles.

Service on the Aston is circa £1k, and I'm only doing 1500 miles a year in it. Come resale, everyone always insists on full AM dealer history on them too...not the network of specialists like there are for Maserati!

Yep that's what I'll do, just wanted someone to confirm my thinking. Not sure when the brake fluid was last changed and I know this can build up moisture over time but I'm getting a few of the brake pipes replaced as they have some corrosion so I'll have new fluid there too.

So I flew up to look at it and it wouldn't start! Talk about sods law... Apparently the crankshaft sensor needs to be replaced and PK need to order one in.

Massively disappointed as that was the reason for me coming up but at least I've got to see the car in person and it is in quite good nick apart from a few minor cosmetic things which I can take care of.

The dealer will get the sensor replaced and so I've agreed to pay the deposit without hearing or driving it (hopefully I won't come to regret that decision!)

Now I have a 2 hour wait at the airport for my flight back :(

Nick,
You should be OK, if PK know the car and looked after it, apart from the sensor it should be OK..!! Just in case ask for say a 14 day warranty..??
Cheers

Did you end up buying this - and are you okay after the pretty heavy looking impact?

It's the correct car yes, we've just bought it and it should be here tomorrow.

I hope the chap was ok, but didn't I notice he'd bought a 4200?

The error light on the dash is a concern!

Seriously though, I hope there was no damage to the driver but what a shame - another one off the road
