Ben, sorry to hear you are selling but fully understand why...
To anyone wanted a 4200 I can confirm this is a truly great example....I drove the car at last October and it was tight and one of the best 4200's I have had the pleasure to drive...Lovely example in great condition and well looked after.
Remember my price was what I wanted to achieve - given here openly because this forum is the right place for that sort of honesty. Selling in the trade isn't quite so simple, and there is a warrantee (which isn't cheap) plus some other bits they'll need to do to the car. I've seen the numbers and they seem very realistic and honest to me. Nobody is making a big mark up here.
Goes to show that many people, myself included, will pay for the security of buying from a reputable and knowledgable dealer, as this option takes some of the risk out of the purchase.
But that said, a £5k premium for a £1k warranty (on selected parts only!) is hardly in the buyers interest!
I bought my 42 and I sold both my Maseratis through Nuvola. I found Nareman's service well worth the cost of the service. Which won't be £5k. He knows the value of these cars and achieved more nett for me than I thought my QPV was worth.
If you sell through a dealer or a specialist and are happy with the price you get and if the dealer can make a few shillings from the sale, everybody's happy..!!
The sharp eyed ones amongst you will have noticed that Richard Grace has a Ghibli for sale. The deal worked perfectly for me as I needed a quick sale for space reasons. I got what I wanted for the car and hopefully Richard will make what he needs to make. Everybody happy all round.
