Got the complete system, it turned up Tuesday, Xmas Eve/Eve so no chance of getting them on before Xmas???

Not so, i got up early on Xmas Eve and went waving cash around to the local exhaust centres, and one bit!

All I can say is, OH MY GOD!

Loud does not even begin to describe it. I went for the De cat, X pipe Centre Section and valved back boxes.

It rasp, pops, fart and BARKS, blooming fantastic.

The only down side, appart from the kidney I had to sell to aford it, is that it is so loud in sport, everyday commuting driving will not be possible. With sport off, its much quieter, but I have the sloppy gear change. So what I am going to do I think for every day driving is bypass the valves in the back boxes so in sport I have the quieter sound and the harder setup and more aggressive gears.

If I was to be brutally honest, I think I would like the softer suspention settin also.

I will look into how to achieve this, but I think, if I disconnect the vacume pipes to the back boxes, they will be closed, so that is an easy on.

thanks to everyone who helped, especially Loz and Simon, and thanks to David at Larini for being patient with me, vids to follow.....

I have since had the de cat pipe modified with 2 small resonators by Larini. It toned it down a bit and give a much better tune of sound, very pleased with it and would advise anyone going for the de cat to have this done, especially as it cost no more.

I've decided that I will keep the stock OEM boxes (for now), but considering swapping out the OEM x-pipe for a Larini unit.

I already have secondary de-cat pipes, so I don't want it to be OTT. Are the stock back boxes muffled enough to stop it from being too loud?

I noticed Larini does both a club sport centre section (looks like an x-pipe to me) and a sports centre section. Matt, I think you said this is where most of the noise amplification comes from.

Performance wise, would the sports centre section be a downgrade from the factory x-pipe?

Thanks!

The factory X pipe is very heavy so you would gain a weight advantage if nothing else. I have also been told that the factory centre is very restrictive, so I would expect so. Best to direct your questions to David at Larini, click their ad at the top of the page, and say hi from me.

Thanks Matt.

I ordered the Larini Sports Centre Section, as David thought the Larini x-pipe plus my de-cats will be OTT - even with the stock back boxes.

It will be a unique setup, as most of you with the full system have added muffled de-cats and kept the Larini x-pipe.

I hope I did not make a mistake!

I would second Davids advice, it would be too much. I would be interested to hear it, when are you going back to Dubai and having it fitted?
