Had intermittent operation of the offside headlight, now always off.
Replaced the offside xenon D2S on my QP V . Took a few goes but managed to kick it into life by repeatedly applying main beam. Next day it is dead again.C
hecked all fuses and relays, and swapped over the dipped beam relay. (incidentally mine was only a 20A when handbook states 30A is needed) - could this be the smoking gun?
Sounds like the ballast issue? Can this be replaced while the headlight remains fitted?
Is the bulb holder thingy "active"? That is pretty easy to get at, so might replace next.
Decided to buy the bulb from halfords as I was 170 miles from home without toolkit, and thought it would be a quick fit
