Of course it is; all this green cr4p is just revenue generation. Having said that I'm doing my bit for global warming, I bought a big V8 and pan the cr4p out of it every chance I get and one day, when summers are 6-7 months of unbroken sunshine, those ba5tards had better thank me.

I used to pay for a parking permit when i was at my parents....the permit was one price per car.... £60 pa

It then became different based on your engine size, over 2.0 is the highest and its £100

Now its emissions, anything under 120 is £50..... The Mafia is here.....we cant get them out....



A silly question but why do i need to pay to park outside my house??

As we go crazy with fuel efficiency, you need not travel far to find countries without even emissions testing with vehicles that churn out so much black smoke you'd think they ran on coal.

This idea is over the top. It is unworkable. No Jag E Types in central London? No DB5's? No Park Lane garages (how can you have a garage that doesn't allow test dtives). I imagine Jack Barclay would have to close, no more Bugatti sales.

I doubt it. It sounds like another stupid idea that money is being wasted on. The most stupid since the analogue radio switch off. That was particularly stupid, how would the millions of cars listen to the radio? Free DAB car audio with fitting for every car? Or kill an entire industry?

Sometimes it does make you wonder if our taxes are able to buy an ounce of common sense.

In lots of larger cities in Italy the old original Fiat 500 has dispensation in the low emmision zones due to It's Italian cultural heritage...

Can't see anything happening like that over here though,as all our local councils are money grabing *******'s
