What am I into, well ******* ***** ** ***, but its most likely not legal in the UK.

Would like to see some real England/Wales, maybe some quaint villages and historic piles. Car Musuem sounds good!

Physical activity is limited by virtue of being held together by stitches.

Car museum is near NEC/airport.....can then wend your ways south to Cotswolds - Moreton-in-Marsh, and 3/4 other villages within 20 odd miles, delightful area....if you get as far south as Bath, amother nice city......check out National Trust web site for stately homes to see what will be within your radius.

Physical activity is limited by virtue of being held together by stitches.

You've been reading too many of Frank's jokes again...

Manchester is pretty much on the edge of the Peak District. Someone more local can doubtless offer some details but the place is awash with quaint villages. The Dove Valley is by all accounts beautiful. Or if you want to amble a bit further afield then York is well worth a visit. The drive across the M62 is itself quite dramatic - it includes the highest point of any motorway in the country. Hardly a big tourist trap in its own right, but noteworthy nonetheless.

As Dicky says, Chester is beautiful. Isn't that Evo Triangle country?

Yes....but all those stitches required for a bilateral vasectomy are in an awkward place........restricts fence jumping, motorbike usage, horse riding.......indeed all forms of riding......;)

Manchester is pretty centrally based to explore lots of interesting bits of England and Wales.

The Lakes are very pretty, loads of interesting blokes-type museums (engineering based, cars, steam etc) nearby (I really enjoyed a day at the Donnington Park museum, less than two hours from Manchester <link>), there are some gorgeous driving roads in Wales. Joining the National Trust is worth doing as planning a lunchtime stop in a NT property is a lot more pleasant than any motorway service h3ll-hole. Make a few visits and you've justified the joining fee.

Get busy on Google, plan a few routes and burn some petrol.

Indeed, but, 'I have a cartilige to pick with you', is somewhat lacking.

.. and in this context inappropriate, certainly in polite company. Such things are best undertaken in private and between consenting adults.
