That is a lovely car, and well priced to.

Anyone in the market should consider that one, the interior makes it for me.

It looks really nice , I think this car was for sale on the Maserati owners club site a couple of years ago and if its the same car it could have a history of being well looked after and cherished. I love the external colour, interior looks nice but a bit to loud for me. Engine bay looks imaculate and mileage is nice and low.
Go and have a look.

Looks like a lovely car. Sounds like its been well looked after. You may have finally found a good one. You can, as I always say, get a good 4200 for that but I'll bet you're in love with boomerangs n bonnet vents?

SOunds a good one...But at 15k I would try and find another £1500ish and go for Nige red 3200 AC..a much better buy......The interior on that 3200 is an aquired taste with the red steering wheel....

If I went ahead with it then that steering wheel would be restored to magnolia.

Thanks for all the comments so far guys! :auto14:

Well, aside from the AC being a better, rarer and classier choice (honestly, without any owner bias ;) ) , that garish red/cream interior to me looks horrendous...even if the steering wheel, handbrake lever etc were changed!

I agree. IMO, his eyesight was going before he bought it! The interior is far too loud for me. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's a good job we are all different. The car exterior looks lovely (for a 3200!) as does the engine bay. Well worth a look I reckon.

Worth a look and perhaps if you like an offer around £13k, if within your budget. If £16k plus is your budget then a Red AC?

Would have to be another manual for me, and if I could find an AC manual , Perhaps a change.

100% agree Nige, the interior is shocking..........Have seen 3 Maserati this year with this interior and two are still for sale........This car needs to be much cheaper as it will be hard to shift on with the love or hate it interior.....

Top tip from most on here would be to go the 3200 AC route if you can as these cars are a good investment......Good ones will not drop much money now...if any....so you could have you fun and sell without a lose.............Plus they are a great drive...

Sounds like it's due a cambelt too - he's had the car just over 2 years and done 500 miles, but the cambelt was done 2000 miles ago.... so that must presumably be around about 3 years ago.

not driven much can be a problem, my 3200 developed many problems when not driven, especially handbrake, and electrics. The loud interior is a matter of taste but it is worth remembering that an interior like that makes it stand out from the crowd, you can't buy many cars today with an interior like that! I am wondering about the wheels? I have a late 2001 3200GTA and it has the newer wheels (which personally i think are much nicer than the original ones) so if this is the age it says it is then why the old style wheels. I would also expect that the body has been resprayed, it looks too bright for a 10 year old car. I would guess it has started rusting and the rust has been treated and the car resprayed and he is selling it while the rust is not evident! Could be wrong, but might be worth asking.

If its been well looked after, then it should not have been sprayed. Suppose you need to go look at it in person to make a full judgement.

Davy, the 3200 had the same wheels right through to the last 2002 models, so the ones on this car are correct. Only the Assetto Corsas came with different wheels as standard (anthracite versions of the 4200 wheels), although Maserati may have offered the 4200 wheels as an optional extra on some cars - don't see many with them though.
