No worries (you like that??) Dem, this thread is for anyone and everyone to welcome them, so carry on. What I am trying to discourage is for specific threads that relate to Australian matters, not to be hijacked or stray from the topic. We have enough sections that do that.

Nice one Matt. Great to see the forum developing and helping our Ozzie members get the best of each other's 'local' experiences.

Welcome to the Ausie contingent and heres for every success in developing the section; sounds like you already have a success with the first get together.

Dicky; I loaded a 20' container today with UK made product and closed the doors (loads of spare room) destined for Brisbane, if only I'd known!

Hi Dicky

Maybe check with the UK dealers shipping vehicles out - Nuvola & ADG come to mind.
Might be possible to bundle up - vehicle & wheel buyers need to watch customs duties on these

I.M.G imports in OZ are a big shipper of cars into the country, they maybe able to shed some light on this for you

I used Elite shipping to get my car out here; they are a family owned UK based business that ships cars in containters or as a Roll On / Roll Off service.
If you give Julie a call I am sure she can point you in the right direction if it is not something they do themselves.
She was incredibly helpful and patient dealing with me providing quotes to get one car here versus another, and one that got as far as the dock before I was politely informed I was wasting my time and money (in this case a worse for wear Lancia).

Guys I think it would be a good idea for you to have a shipping to Aus thread on here, its bound to encourage alot more Aussies to the marque.

By the way, 'Aussies' is not seen as a derogatory term is it? I know the English dont like to be called Poms very much, would hate to be offensive without knowing it!
