Anyone know the quantity of gas that should go in my 2010 QP5 GTS? I’m at local aircon specialists and we think it might be a Maserati State secret. They tried speaking to FTech but they don’t want to share the info. Yours hopefully.

I seem to recall around 1000g, much more than the 4200. I was surprised, and when mine was overfilled for a day, the air con was so much quieter. And colder.

Yup it’s 600g - had mine done at Kwik fit and they got it wrong!

Thanks for the replies. It took about 900g. The guys at Prolek in Haverfordwest were excellent. They even work on some of the old planes at Withybush - big pressure jobs. BTW - don’t buy a plane - the paperwork is horrendous and I can’t imagine what a 500k bill feels like for an engine for a Beechcraft, especially a twin. Apparently even a £2 microswitch can end up costing £750 because of the paper trail needed to support its existence. Bonkers. Stick to sensible saloons.

ATS had issues finding my car but I just had 650-700 grams pushed into my 06 QPV the aircon is not cold!
So going back to see if they will add more... all the S class and 7 series take ~1000g so id have thought the QP would be similar...

I don't think it's got a leak, the car passed a 45min vacuum test, it just came out of the garage warmer than it went in!
I found a document on the web that shows the QPV as taking just over 1000g of refrigerant which feels a bit more like a sensible amount.
