Throttle body balancing screw - QP 3.2 Evo

Hi all,

Is there any logical way to adjust the balancing of the two throttle plates on the 3.2 throttle body ? These are calibrated at the factory and then the screw is sealed with a plastic plug. Not to be touched.

Last mechanical problem I had with the car was when I had a high rpm/uneven idle problem. That's a while ago and has been sorted to a degree. When I did the work I noticed the two throttle plates were very uneven with a very different vacuum. I stupidly thought that it had been fiddled with and balanced them with a vacuum gauge. Result was that car run worse than ever. I did try to adjust it back to where it was and I'm probably not far off but it would be nice to have it just like it left the factory to see if the car idles better.

I'm still not entirely happy with the warm engine idle. It stumbles a bit in between and can feel a bit lumpy getting the car moving. Is there a way to understand why these throttle plates are adjusted the way they are and not balanced and equal ? There is no info in the WSM other than "do not touch" warning. The balancing screw is the one between the throttle plates in the picture.

The single body Ghibli one has two.

One a screw you are allowed to touch, and one that has the plastic plug.

Other than the sealed plug does yours have no adjustment at all ?

No other adjustment that I know of. There's the throttle plate rest position but other than that there is only this one screw. The picture I attached is for a part for sale online from a very low mileage car. Funny enough it has the same soot markings on the one throttle plate that mine has. One dirty and one clean. I find this strange but it might be unrelated to the syncronization.
