Sounds like a lost puppy post, I know
However, its true....
Ever since I saw Kevin's S3 Ti, I wanted one myself....
Was a long shot back then finding one, but out of luck I found one !!!
It had been abandoned in a field, outside an auto-electrician's shop, with all its paperwork done, waiting to be scrapped
Turns out, the car started off its life as a Silver Alfasud Ti, which was never really taken care of.
It changed many owners, someone even painted it in black, and did a very poor job at it, resulting to more issues at the end....
The SUD was finally bought by a guy who liked to .... ..... a lot ....
I'm sure the car got air-borned quite a few times, and the chassis had the marks to prove it...
This last owner, went out one night, had a few barrels of drinks, then set off to go home , stopping for fuel on his way.
A few miles after refueling, the car stalled and he left it on the highway.
Next day, he figured that it was an electrical problem, so he towed it to this auto-electrician to fix it for him.
The professional electrician couldnt figure out what the problem was, so he changed the alternator, distributor, ignition and coil, and the car still wouldnt start.
He then gave the owner a bill for what he did, and told him to go and get it coz he couldnt fix it.
The owner never went, partly because he didnt know what to do with it, and because he didnt have any money to pay the electrician for the parts he changed....
So, he did all the necessary paperwork, and the car was sitting patiently in that field , waiting to be scrapped
I found it, looking like this :
