Morning, all. Fresh back from a fantastic fortnight's holiday in Hong Kong and China. Landed at dark o'clock this morning and now home swilling coffee and trawling through some admin. Otherwise it's a quiet day ahead and back to work tomorrow to pay off the holiday excess.

Internet access in China was interesting. Forget getting any western news at all (the government will tell you what you need to know!) and anything Google (such as email). Except sometimes when it worked a bit. Instagram was fine, this forum seemed to work.

Anyway, while I've been behind the Great Firewall my car has been over at Dub Customs for a freshen up. Stuart at F1 Wax has topped up the carbon ceramic coating and Danny from SVR has dealt with a large stone chip on the wing but reckons it's still not perfect. Dub will be PPFing the bonnet but advised against bothering with the wings until I've clocked up a few more stone chips and it's worth a blow over first.

Apparently I now have strip the beds and put them in the wash (considering dyeing it all pink so I don’t get asked again).

You might want to check those instructions, Matt. She probably meant 'Strip the beds and but the *sheets* in the wash. Although dying the beds pink and breaking the washing machine will probably have the desired effect ;)

Hello everyone!
I like this rain this morning - very calming (well, until I go for a drive to Elstree and there are nutters on the roads).
Oxford are trialling a couple of fully electric buses this and next week... charging them at the depot off a big diesel genny - D'OH!
HapPea Thursday!

New toy day! I'm off to collect the GranCabrio MC.

Part of the deal was to have lunch with the previous owner (a 2 Michelin Star celebrity chef) and to sign the paperwork at his London restaurant. But the car itself is already in Dorset, so the trip to town has temporarily lost it's appeal. Especially as the V5 bit can now be done online. Lunch will have to wait.

Have a great day all

Morning, dark and drizzly down here.

Got the Opel out of storage yesterday, initially it fired right up and ran well...then sort of went down hill from there. Nothing major, think the hydraulic lifters need adjusting. Looked down the carb at the fuel going in....way out of timing and got an explosion of fuel in my face for the pleasure.

Very awakening!

Morning, Forum. After 7 different beds over the last two weeks, it was a pleasure to wake up in my own bed this morning. Weather is quite English, which is pleasant after all that heatwave malarkey. Back at work and wading through a swamp of emails, most of which can be filed.

Just about morning still. Making good progress on a few big things at work. (this time next year Rodders and all that), although the stress is killing me, tired all day and then can't sleep at night.

Think I need to take the Maser for a razz. But I don't want to get it dirty after it's detail.

You'll be a long time dead, mate. Besides, if you haven't washed the Maser since its detailing, you'll be amazed how easy it is to wash now. Go and get it filthy.

Then try this: get some Bilthammer Autofoam, spray it all over in 4% dilution just using a garden hand-pump pressure sprayer thing (don't worry about snow-foaming it - not necessary) then pressure wash it off after 5 minutes or so. The sight of all the dirt just sliding off will amaze and impress you.

I'll go order some. :thanks2:

Got decidedly precipitated upon today, I had forgotten how wet rain can be! Had to take the iPhone out of its case at one point as the digitizer couldn't tell where I was pressing because of all the water over the screen! Anyway, after a couple of late finishes I'm done for the day today. Time to sort some car stuff out then.

Matt, why would the timing be out because of storing it or were you saying your timing was out in respect to the blow back? Unpleasant thing to happen anyway!
