Walked through the door at 16:55 so I’m counting that as a win! Got a day playing with the GS tomorrow, putting the summer wheels back on, clay the car and a quick coat of wax, off to Elite in Rainham to get new Michelin Pilot 4s on the front and a full hunter setup (have shims). I need to make this car feel like mine, I haven’t done it yet, I haven’t fallen out of love with it but when I got back from Spain last year i hadn’t bonded with it. The 4200 was like a comfortable glove, i knew every part of it and could wring the absolute limit from it when I wanted to. This one just isn’t there yet. I know the GS has a harsher ride and the mileage is so low on this one it hasn’t loosened up yet but it feels so much slower! I need more noise, induction, plugs and so much more.

Best stop whinging and make it happen.

Sounds like a perfect day, Newton. Enjoy it!

Had a thoroughly enjoyable prom run yesterday, but those French flies took some cleaning off beforehand. Spattered at speed and baked on made for a tough job. Anyway, the Vantage did a good job delivering my nephew and I think he’s still in shock at all the attention he got. For my part, I’m still amazed how quickly that engine spins round to the red line. It’s ridiculous.

Today Mrs Crud and I will be heading up the coast for a yomp and a pint.

Have a good day, all.

Morning all,
Despite my condition yesterday I actually got loads done, going up the storage to wash n wax car in preparation for Thursday( funeral) and drop of for service Friday, other than that I have 2 more planters to make and 1 to finish putting soil in, which will have to fit around F1 and football,
Have a good day,
Dave

Morning,

Leg is playing up today. It’s been fine for a week or more but it appears that it takes exception to walking around a Supermarket.

Foot up today, with perhaps some fettling when I need some air.

Have a great day all

Good morning all, enjoyed my day yesterday, cleaned and waxed the GS rims and put them on the car (finally removing the 4200 wheels and winter tyres). It was booked in at Elite in Rainham where they had got me a batch matched pair of Michelin Pilot 4s fronts, the damaged tyre from Ryan’s run last year was removed and the inside of the rim was thoroughly checked and found to be ok. It was then put on the Hunter and the poor handling was revealed:

Check out the left column for the full picture! Only the rear toe is in range! How does a manufacturer of supercars deliver such shocking setups?

They had had a couple of cars earlier in the day that had given them problems and set them back so they could only set the front toe/tracking on this visit. I need new rears in a couple of weeks so I’ll book it in for a half day where they will go through the whole car and use the shims I got.

Even with just the tracking done it handles so much better. I have a prom run to do in Buxton on Friday so I shal enjoy the hills more now.

Have fun all...

Morning all another lovely day, a bit off off road cycling today as the smallest wants to test out the suspension on her new mountain bike
