I've just watched a couple of these videos, and I learned a great deal.

This guy covers a lot (a LOT) of technical issues in cars from exhaust design through gear boxes, engine tuning, ignition timing to increase HP, clutches, why backfires happen...the list goes on and on.
And it's easy to understand, he does more with a whiteboard than some of the flashy videos do with fancy graphics and CGI.
It's in 5 minute chunks, so you can pick & choose to fill bored moments.
