Spyder hood problem

Hi there
Wonder if anyone can help?
When hitting the button to put my hood up it stops halfway through the cycle which requires me to take my finger off the switch and then press it again to finish the cycle.
Is there a relay/switch that switches it to the second phase of putting the hood up?
Thanks
Mark

The roof procedure has many processes, one after another.

What you will find is that it probably always stops at the same bit.

First, I would check the bands in the roof have not become detached. They fold the roof and what you might find is that cant and the process of you taking your finger off the switch shakes the roof and then reapplying it helps it bend.

You just have to work out at what stage it stalls then look at the next process in the sequence then you will be able to work out what bit is failing.

No second switch, keep engine running when operating top, if operation stops on way up, ok to repush switch, cycle should finish.
If top stops on opening it more than likely be the elastic bands between hoop 1 to two. This can be replaced by using some 3inch wide elastic joined over the first two hoops with press studs or Velcro which you can fit when the top is in the upright half open position ,which allows you to get your hand in .
Keep engine running and fold away to complete the cycle. The repair costs less than a Tenner.

Hi Stewart, I am having the same problem with my GS roof not folding down correctly - I believe it likely be the elastic bands between hoop 1 to two. Please could you elaborate as much as possible on how to fix this and where you can get the new bands from? Many thanks Shaun
