Ok, we are pretty much done with the booking and will be looking for some new guests/members as we have had some drop outs.

Can I please ask that anyone thinking about this trip, please get in contact with me we need to fill a couple of places to fill the commitment and get the discount on the hotels otherwise we may lose out.

Back tonight so I’ll tie up the final list but there should be room for everyone.

Finally agreed on the Portofino hotel, so that is now all hotels booked.

Those of you confirmed will be on the What’sApp group and will have been asked for your deposits.

So, by the end of this week we should have all the deposits in so I can pay the deposits.
Route is confirmed so I’ll be moving on to ferries now then arranging evening dinning and places of interest. I feel an early leave from Portofino and a nose round Milan might be in order en route to Como.

It’s going to be epic!

Hi Matt
Looks as if my 3200 is not going to be ready in time, so please take us off the reserve list.

I got a Crit Air for my Merc to go to Switzerland a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t see a single French car with one in the window.

Looking at your route the road to/from Mulhouse is now littered with speed cameras and it’s now 80kph on single carriageway roads. I’m waiting the tickets!

List closed months ago, all places taken.

Look out for our Skandie tour in late summer 2019

What is it about Scandinavia and its famously beautiful people that attracts you to next year's Scandi-thrash, Dem?
Have to say, in the process of planning my road trip, the one's I have read on Scandinavia have had good photos and praised roads, however, everyone has been marred by weather, lots of it, I wont have enough Insurance miles left to do both next year tho

Given the amount of beer consumed by SM members on road trips and Scandinavia beer prices this could be quite costly

I thought I would go through the air quality process property for the old Ghibli, rather than the simulation, after filling it all out & scanning V5 etc.. It does say a certificate can not be issued, because the car is too old & runs on coal.
a) I guess if there are restrictions in place I can not enter leon?
b) If there is no restriction on that particular day do you still have to display a category disk or is it OK for anyone to enter?
c) Do I smoke through & hope for the best
d) It might be irreverent, if it sells, the 4C is coming & it is a category 1.

It's my understanding that you only need one if there is a restriction in place. Unlike the RAC's scaremongering that seems to imply every car should have one.

Click here and it shows that today what you can drive in Lyon and one of the categories is for no Crit Air
