Spare Seat for Le Mans

I now have a passenger seat for Le Mans as my mate who was coming is having a hip replacement (at only 39). And Stevie has now booked something for the weekend.

A couple of other mates who showed an interest in coming, want to do something called camping! Not sure exactly what that is, but it sounds awful!

Geoff you are also committed to two twin hotel rooms and 2 beds at Wayne's Gite.

Hopefully you should find someone.

Camping is fun in a Maserati, gets a few raised eyebrows. Even better when I pull out two tents, two chairs and table, and other stuff out of the boot. One of the tents is big enough to be a garage...

Camping and fun are two words which definitely don't go together for me!
Tried it once, never again!

You pair of wimps, Le Mans is all about the atmosphere and that includes being close to the action all week which means camping

I bought a folding camper when the kids were small , took it up to the lakes in September , it was like sleeping on a plank in a fridge

One trip then sold

Camping = poor mans survival. Times have moved on and that's why hotel/gitte dwellers don't have to kill mammoths any more. Live in a house, rather than survive in a p!ss stained sh!t hole.

I agree, after camping at Le Mans for the MotoGP, you don't sleep!

But if you do use an airbed, very comfy and if you motorcycle you can save space by putting your leathers underneath.

Sod camping. We prefer memory foam mattresses, full equipped oak and granite kitchen, wifi, English tv, a pool and not having to **** in a bucket.

You can keep your 'atmosphere' thank you :)

MAV, Contigo, c'mon take the place!

I know NickP wants to come down on the Friday so could take the room and ticket at least.

A lot of interest thus far, waiting on a couple of people to confirm.

First come first serve and all that.

Tempting but the Mrs would go mental as it's my Birthday weekend. I just need to find a weekend you lot are about for my 40th celebrations!!

Have done that several times, camping inside the grounds, the queue for what passed as a toilet and shower was miles long!
Great atmosphere though, but your right bl00dy noisy!

The best bit was getting out on the bikes, no traffic queues and having a blast round the French countryside, we would clock up several hundred miles in a day.
