Three cars doing the Goodwood Hillclimb - no Masser in there, but a decent watch

The Arseton is the one I wouldn't have. Is it worth £77k more than the Vette or £58k more than the (already too expense) Jag? Is it bollox. Capable but far, far too expensive. For my money it would have to be the Jag then the Vette.

I'm yet to hear a Ferrari 348 or a F355 at full chat. Both boyhood dream cars.

Any ideas what they sound like in comparison?

I've got to test drive at least one this summer. I really want one, but the 360 ownership costs demonstrated on this forum are a tad scary.

The 355 and, to a lesser extent, the 348 have a very 'revvy' F1 sound. Lots of people like it but, having driven behind several, I find them pretty one dimensional with too much at the high end of the spectrum. I think the narrow bore tailpipes Ferrari generally use may have something to do with it. Maserati, with the cross plane crank, has plenty of base, lots of mid range and a fair bit at the top end and, to me, is a far more interesting sound.
