Hi all

I’ve noticed the side turning lights have a bit of water ingress in them - the ones each side of the engine.

I tried ebay but can’t see anything obvious, any idea where to get replacemes? Car is in for a service Thursday so hopefully somewhere in stock so they can just go ahead and change it whilst at it :)

Thanks

If you're talking about the indicator repeaters, pretty sure you can just pop them out and dry them. They're not sealed

They slide off towards the thinner end of the side indicator from memory. They are locked in by a spring clip. They tend to get crud behind them that makes them stick so just push and slide slowly building up the pressure till it moves.

You can get replacement LED units which include a new outer lens.

If you take your originals apart to clean them they are made up of two layers glued together. Outer layer is smooth perspex and just behind that is a diamond pattern inner perspex which holds water and dirt.

Once they start holding water they can crack in winter if you use your car all year.

For the price you can always change them for the leds and keep the originals to pass on to any future owner.

If you clean the originals you will probably find the yellow bulbs coating inside has gone sticky and just comes off. So replace with new amber bulbs.

spkennyuk can you expand on how to remove the side indicators please. I need to replace one of mine and it's proving tricky to remove.

Hi Omar. The recess that the side indicator sits in has a gap at the thin end of the side indicator. If you push slight in on the side indicator and slide the indicator sidewards in the direction of the thin end of of the indicator it should move approx 2 cms. You can then wiggle the side indicator out.

Its worth washing round the indicator before you remove it to clear any dirt behind it and act as a lubricant to ease the process.
