Sick of paying your NavTrac subs, how about this ?

Seems an innovative anti theft solution. Totally covert, enter code using any dash buttons or switches.

Links directly into the car Canbus

•Immobilisation by communicating with the ECU
•PIN code via buttons on steering wheel / dash
•Undetectable using diagnostics
•Cannot be bypassed using standard theft methods
•No radio frequency signals
•No additional fobs (commercial vehicle option allows for fobs)
•Uses the on-board CAN data network
•Unique user changeable PIN code
•Service / Valet mode means the PIN code is never compromised
•Secure, unique emergency code should the PIN be forgotten

Only compatible on latest Maserati Models though. So it looks like I'm stuck paying my Navtrac subs :too_sad:.

When I had my granturismo I had a cobra nav track already installed. I asked insurance how much less it would be if I had it activated and they said it would cost more as it was a modification! Typical standard insurance company who also didn't have a box for 'car port' as opposed to garage! So suddenly I did not have a nav track fitted

Thieves here are using gps/cel signal blockers when they steal these days. Am surprised that is not more the case in the UK. Mechanical means (Outruns post), wheel clamps etc, are quite a reasonable defense.
Or just buy a Renault..No self respecting thief will steal it.....
I once had an old wreck of a bicycle which I'd owned from school days. I was leaving the Sobel Sports Centre one evening with a friend and we were discussing this topic as we walked, I was naively saying the best thing about my old clunker is knowing it is safe to leave it locked up in Finsbury Park. Just then we turned the corner to see my bike still locked up safely but some scum bag had kicked in both wheels.

Never overestimate these people.
