Shock/Brake Fluid puddle?..

Hi,

I seem to have developed a puddle behind my rear left wheel, I'm guessing this is probably a leaking shock, anyone had this?.. anything else it could be? It's a Sports GTS so Bilstein shocks. Thanks..

Shock would seem likely then

I’ve never seen a leaky shock drop that much oil.

I’d be more worried about it being brake fluid.

I would be checking the metal hard line brake pipes very carefully.
The reservoir level will tell you quickly.

As above a lot of oil for a shock, more investigation required

Just to report back and update the thread for anyone in the future, it turns out the shock has completely collapsed and dropped all its innards on my garage floor. Has got worse since I took the photo above. Most probably from a pothole impact; Grrrr!..
