interesting lift. Still uncertain about scissor lift like this or a two post unit for head height work.
no brainer mate, if you have the height then a proper 2 poster is the way to go

Good spot Scaf. That would make more sense. Can these plates / covers be fitted the other way up?
The way they are fitted water sits in the pressed strengthening, seems to me they would be better the other way so water can’t lay there, if that makes sense.
Took mine off yesterday, water was still there from Saturday and has nowhere to drain.

Maybe you could drill a drain hole on each of the four recessed bitsGood spot Scaf. That would make more sense.
Turn it upside down and fit nylon spacer washer to suit or just treat the sh1t out of the top of it before fitting is probably enough.I guess the problem with that is that they wouldn’t bolt up flush to the body, creating yet more water traps. They are a pain any way round.
That's interesting. I've had water sloshingCan these plates / covers be fitted the other way up?

Whats with the wibbly wobbly sill skirt above the yellow arm?Can these plates / covers be fitted the other way up?

Hmmmm. I wonder if my engineering company can do some nice shiny stainless ones. Cheaply. As Zep says if you flip them then they won’t sit flush.
you could nylon spacer them but the ramp arms would then crush them.
Answer, I guess get some made flat from a thicker gauge material.
Personally they do a job and are cheap and easy to replace so wouldn’t dwell on it too much.
I don’t disagree but if for the sake of drilling a hole before rust treatment I can avoid water sitting there I think I will. It’s useless design they should have been made to fit the other way up.Agree with Matt's comments. I had mine replaced at a reasonable cost so not worth the angst in trying to modify the plates which aren't made to be turned up side down.
I've never seen a straight one on a GT lol. So annoying. Unfortunately, the side skirt mounting brackets are easily bent and causes the the skirt to ripple like that.Whats with the wibbly wobbly sill skirt above the yellow arm?
Well if you will buy these inferior 2 doors....I've never seen a straight one on a GT lol. So annoying. Unfortunately, the side skirt mounting brackets are easily bent and causes the the skirt to ripple like that.
