Picked this up 1 week ago. Over the moon with it. Traded my Nissan GT-R in for it as I wanted something abit more special. Love the sound and look of the car, much better drive than the GT-R. The spec is lovely and it is definitely a keeper!! Will be doing a couple of things to the granturismo in due course. Here is a list in order

Fully detailed
De chrome
H&r springs + spacers
Michelin pilot super sports all round
Larini race cats + bmc filters
Dms map

Cheers danny

One classy looking vehicle. Congratulations.
If your avatar is anything to go by congratulations there too.
Which one, the wee one or GT, is the apple of your eye?

Yes love the sound, must be another level with exhaust work!! Yes obviously a bit of a step down. The gtr was Litchfield stage 1 585bhp but a bit to much for the road tbf. My c63 was stage 1 520bhp, if a can get the granturismo sport somewhere near that be good enough for me

Lovely GranTourismo and welcome

Perhaps a bit naughty on an Italian car forum but could you pop a photo of your GT-R up? I do have a soft spot for them but never owned one.

There are supercharging options seen a kit in the US for $15k. A former has installed direct port nitrous injection in his 4200 and it's currently in shakedown but he seems pleased with it so far.

Theres the gtr and thanks, the granturismo is special. I was surprised when looking for tuning parts for the gts there's not much choice. Does anyone do custom headers(long tube), intakes, larger throttle bodies etc??

What didn't you like about the Nissan GT-R? the interior is dull as ditch water, typical Japanese

Performance wise though there just amazing!

before you DMS remap do some research on here as a few years back some had it done....Dan who had a GT S said it made no difference and was a complete waste of money. Think they tested his against others standard car and that's when they came to the conclusion is wasn't money well spent. Also think if lower it can cause issues...again sure some have looked into it and didn't go that way so definitely do some research. Understand why you want to do it as its the one thing Maserati never got right with the GT....That big space between wheel and body...Needs spacers without a shadow of doubt.

Very nice.

As others have mentioned, I wouldn't bother with a remap as the car is not turbo charged, the difference will be minimal. You're better getting it breathing cleaner with filter and exhaust mods. I'd start with a larini x-Pipe before the cats and a BMC filter and see where that takes you. The cats might be a little too much and it's a fine line between sounding fabulous and over egging it to sound like an American v8. There are some who do love that though but if you do it piece by piece until you find the noise that makes you the most happy!

Definitely changes the tyres to Michelins too, especially if it's wearing P-Zeros.

Thats cool, a would be up for a drive out anytime. It was just a itch a needed to scratch with the gtr. A think everyone who is into cars should try one, the interior and strange noises it makes all comes together when you drive one. Nissan did amazing with it and it was only till a couple of years ago other top car manufacturers started to catch up. A experience I won't forget!!
For tuning the gts I also thought about gad tuning. What do I need to look out for when putting springs on it??
Cheers

Don't go too low on the springs and make sure you have it aligned and if you can, corner weighted, one done or you'll stuff the new Michelins with uneven wear. I'd make those side vents black too and pick up some smoked side indicators off Fleabay to complete the look!

Yep, that was me and Dan. Stock GTS (440hp) vs a DMS tuned (505hp - CLAIMED) car. Various states, from standing, rolling, 70mph stab....nada, nothing!

Welcome and I would be really, really interested of your comparisons of the GTR vs the GT...ok, I know they are different but humour us if you would....its not about lap times, its about good times so would appreciate you giving us some sort of side by side comparison rather than which is faster, I think we all know that.
