Redex petrol treatment

Hello Gents

Has anybody used Redex petrol treatment in the past on their Maserati to clean injectors/perk up performance?

I recently saw a Fifth Gear episode where after adding Redex to a VW Corrado and running it for a week, Jason Plato then recorded a 6bhp increase in power.

Am thinking of getting some for our scuderia.

Only in my ride on lawn mower & there's no stopping it now!

Maybe I should stick the the mower too. I'm a little hesitant to use it on the car, but then I wonder what harm it can do as it's a well known product thats been around for years..

May try it on the wife's 147 and see how it feels...

iv used it, never noticed any difference, i always use v-power fuel though, this has as much additive in it as red-ex does, and its running through it all the time...

and 6bhp increase, its all a bit ******** really, because you could run a car on a dyno, say for instance get 150bhp, then run it again an 2 minutes later (without doing anything to it) and get 160bhp, theres so many things that can cause it to vary.

Yes fair point Beau. I use V-Power or BP hi-octane so I guess it's all taken care of already.

yeah if your using v power or similar, it has all the cleaning detergents you need already in it, you dont need to do anything else
