Really do like red....I know not for everyone but this one looks a great buy....It was for sale a number of months ago private as I posted the advert up....It then reappeared at this dealer a few weeks ago at £20500.......they dropped it to £19500 and now its at £17990......If the car is OK this seems a very good price for a 2008 car with 66k on the clock and 8 service stamps....

Indeed, the market is clearly missing something here - surely one of the best kept secrets?

Yep this months modern classics has the QPV in their "V8 fight club" and give it glowing reviews. Much deserved too!

Quality magazine BTW!

I saw that Mag in Sainsburys the other day. Never seen it before.

Might have a read. Was in a rush before so never got to look properly.

Says M5 as brilliant as ever but we find a better classic......Is that the QP then....

No they chose something different. QP is second choice because leftfield and so beautiful. The other one is chosen for power, price and overall fun.

Yep AMG, an awesome car for £6-7k but still I'd rather have the M5 or QP mainly because I hate Taxi's!

100% agree Phil.....Had an E39 M5 and it was a stunning piece of kit and although far quicker than a QP it's still the QP for that special feeling and looks...

If you parked an M5 in a busy car park nobody would notice it, just another BMW, everybody notices a Quattroporte, especially a red one

I don't think there is a massive difference between the E39 M5 and QP. The E60 on the other hand is a big gulf!

You are right there Wack61 but sometimes its not just about people noticing your car but how that car makes you feel and I can honestly say the E39 was a great car and really did enjoying every drive....I have never bought a car because of what other may think.....but yes youa re right on the looks piece.

On another forum a guy had a new M5 , it didn't make him feel that good , they were fixing it as much as he drove it.

I just had a look at the website of the red QP, it does look good but he has strange stock ,an i8 BMW for 117k down to a £600 fiesta
