What gets my goat is when I weaken and accept the challenge.

Oh, to be strong!

Yeah me too, but the QPV isn't all that fast, and a lot of metal to shift, but you can lose them on the corners, great beast though it is it hardly leans at all, Mr. Golf with a bean can exhaust is on two wheels. And the steering goes where you point it.

I'm not religious but I'm praying this isn't a euphemism ;)

Not at all, he wanted to feel the full power of my weapon spurting :D

Last week was interesting, I had 5 positive comments in 4 days about the car which is way more than normal :)

I've also had a very, shall we say, interesting comment on the car this weekend. I'm pulled up at lights on the dual carriageway when there is a little beep from a white van next to me. I turn to see a bloke in the passenger seat, how shall I put this, vigorously licking the window. Laughing I buzz mine down to ask him if the glass is especially tasty today and he leans out and yells " that is f...ing lovely darlin'".
I thanked him most politely for his kind words and then the lights changed......

Always nice isn't it? Not competing, but popped out yesterday and while waiting for the chappie to fix my numberplates yet again, three approaches in an hour: smile, "Beautiful".

No envy, just pleasure

Went back to my hometown of Bolton for my 2x catering packs of Carr’s frozen unbaked meat and potato pasties for this quarter, load up the boxes into the QP boot, this couple come up to me and say ‘Where’s did you get the boxes of pasties from?’
I
Never even mentioned the car but had an interesting conversation on pasties...

Oh yes, and wanted to introduce my daughters Yorkshire bf to pea wet but he really couldn’t see the attraction for some reason...

Catering pack of 36 pasties works out with ltd co discount as 90p a pastie. When I was living in Dublin the only pasty shop I found was in Temple Bar and one pasty, one, was €4.90.

Not even an emergency Greggs to fall back on....

There is one by the Halfpenny bridge now pasties @ €3.95 but they are those Cornish things

That’s the one, down the lane under the arch? Hanley’s or something?

We got done for two for €9.80 but we probably went dear trying to match the Carr’s equivalents...

My mrs is still fuming over the €1.00 plastic bag she got charged for in Dunnes, she was laughing at me when I refused to pay 72 cents in SuperValu aka SuperNotValu and then dropped everything in the car park.

Loving my 5p bags for life back in UK courtesy of Sainsbury’s...

Carrs will soon have charge £5 a pop to pay for their swanky new shop on Manchester Rd.

Still can't beat their pasty barm though - real class..

The trade shop is the old shop!

New shop must have been there a year or more surely? I used to get mine from Halliwell Road shop, the original one.

Mr Carr himself died a few weeks back, RIP Mr Carr....

I always used the Halliwell Rd shop as a yoof- the newer Manchester Rd shop is almost next to the old one and yup probably been there about a year now. How time flies when you're dreaming of pasties.

Goes into Sainsbury's in Thetford about 8.30 this morning, quite a few people in there, get half a trolley load of groceries(too much for self check-out, bearing in mind how many times you have to keep waiting for a member of staff to wave her magic card with the self check-out) and I get to the check out, in front are two couples both with trollies loaded to the top, so I look along the line and notice there is a member of staff sitting at one of the other check outs, so off I go with my trolley and said to the young women "This check out open?" she replies in a stern voice "no, only only one check out allowed before 9" so off I trundled back to the queue thinking shall I just abandon this lot and walk out the shop but I didn't and then a member of staff opened a check out for me as they could see me cursing.
Why is it such a big issue in some of these supermarkets to put the minimum amount of staff on check-outs?
