Hi guys. David Morris has been in touch to see if there is any interest for an Italian display at the RAF Shawbury families day on August 3rd. This event is for the families and is not open to the general public. There is likely to be at least one display aircraft and some statics so if you fancy a pleasant low-key day out on a service base please put your names on the list. Thanks.

Hi Benny
Sorry for late reply - we`ve been away for a few days. Can I just double check that date - it is Friday 3rd August is it? Not that I doubt you, but a Friday for an event is a bit unusual, isn`t it!

Bump. Any more interested in a day out next Friday? At the moment there is only Terry and me so we could do with a bit more support if anyone is available. When we are there, I’m going to ask if we can use the runway for a bit of a blast as I used to be based there.

Hi Benny. Lynda and I could bring both ours if that would help? Or just the one if you think two would be overkill? Are any other clubs invited?

Thanks for your very kind offer. I will e-mail David tomorrow and find out the situation regarding attendance, registering for security and relevant times. Watch this space!

Ive just heard from David and he is bringing the Ferrari pack with him so there should be some more decent metal to look at. So Andy, if you could bring both of yours, that would be awesome.

Hi Benny,
Less than an hour away from me, more than happy for a meet up and sounds interesting, any decent pubs with rooms in the surrounding area, as I will have to bribe Mrs Saigon with a decent meal and accomidation for the night, and drive back next day. Let me know the details when you have them.

Saigon mate, good to hear from you. I’m sure there will be plenty of suitable hostelries in the locale and I will post the relevant details when I get them from David. I’m hopefully picking my Maser up on Monday (after 8 f*cking months) so I should be good to go as well!

Hi Benny, hope to hear from you accordingly and see (and hear) the 8 f*cking months of work on the machine. I should be getting some new Larini back boxes on Tuesday to go along with the X pipes you supplied a year ago, let’s see.

Hi guys, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. It now appears there was a deadline for applications but it wasn’t passed on to David and, as a consequence, we have now missed it. We won’t therefore be able to go on Friday, which is a shame. Thanks for your support on this and I’ll post it up again next year. Thanks again.
