We're talking pre 1975 drivers when F1 men drove non-championship races to boost their income, so i'd guess Fangio, Surtees and Jim Clarke as the other three...

Bruce McLaren won races and the 24hour race but not the championship, but surely Jack Brabham did the 24hr and F1 championship.

Shall I just list all F1 champs? I'll stop and let everyone else have a go...

You are correct on all of the facts above, Brice McLaren did win Le Mans 1966 but never won the F1 championship. On the otherhand Jack Brabham won 3 F1 championships but only drove at Le Mans once where he didn't finish. He was entered a second year but didn't drive.

Interestingly both have had cars bearing their name win the F1 championship and Mclaren have also won Le Mans in 1995.

If it helps both the missing winners of both died tragically young, neither made 30.

More clues for the missing one? This man holds another much sadder record he is the only GP World Champion to have never received his trophy

Yes gotim
Jochen Rindt

That's the one and as you got two of the four it must be over to you for the next question

Mike Hawthorn - Le Mans 1955, F1 World Champion 1958
Phil Hill - Le Mans 1958, 1961, 1962, F1 World Champion 1961
Jochen Rindt - Le Mans 1965, F1 World Champion 1970 (posthumously)
Graham Hill - Le Mans 1972, F1 World Champion 1962, 1968

Change of tack completely then.
The novel Little Women is quite well known and maybe even the author(?), but who wrote the novel Little Men?
Please try and keep the thread clean!

Gee thanks, lets stick with pen names then.

Which prolific writer has written under the following pen names Aaron Wolfe, Brian Coffey, David Axton, Deanna Dwyer, John Hill, K.R. Dwyer, Leigh Nichols, Anthony North, Owen West, Richard Paige ?

There are reported to be many others as well.
