Why? Is it not question of day, surely if you know you should answer and move on. :)

True but then i would have to set the next question and im not on the forum much at the moment.

A previous Celtic manager did 42 or 43 years and is the second longest serving manager. If that helps.

I think zag has the same answer as me from his hint.

I'm not sure where we are with this and I set the last question...

Which football club had a single manager for the longest period in England?

Pretty sure Fergurson was the longest serving post war manager so it must be someone who started prewar at least. In the early days I think there were a few who had 30 years plus behind them. Is it a midlands club I seem to remember Wolves and Villa had long term managers in the early years of the 20th C

So we've gone from "a" manager to an "English" manager?
Hmmm … do I detect a side-step :)
Whatever, still no idea.

I googled it cos I was nearly right up thread and couldn't think, I'd have thought with all the clues someone would have bagged the answer by now ;)

While we have all REALLY enjoyed the 6 June question, it is possible we have got everything we can out of this, and we should now consider moving on to another 'question of the day'....

Yes this question is proving to be a 'thorn in everyone's side. They also have the highest Ground in the top four leagues...

Enough clues for even my small brain, stunned it is the highest ground in the football league though.

West Brom, Hawthorns

OK, an easy one especially for those who made the trip to La Sarthe last weekend.

Alonso won this years race and is only the 5th F1 World Champion to do so, who are are the other 4?
