QP brakes

Maybe someone can tell me why my brakes have suddenly started to squeak, especially as I had the pads changed only a month ago as part of its service!
Also, just how much brake pedal travel do other QP owners get.... mine seems to sink quite a way before it feels the brakes are truely biting

Sounds like they did not put a blob of greace on the back of the pads or cheap pads that are not up to it have been used.

Who did the service? Take it back they will put it right.

Aint overly keen on the almost to the floor brake pedal........not been bled properly...a big safety issue...........kick their respective A*S*S*E*S...the very basic stuff...not done at all.......and be sure to ask them to knock off that part of the bill...if they don't name and shame!!!

Might be some glazing on the pads and might be worth bedding them in again.

All the QPs that ive driven have had quite a lot of brake pedal travel especially at slow speeds, they get firmer the faster you go. but as others have pointed out, it might need a good solid bleed, with the SD3 and a pressure bleeder.

Thanks

If the pads are glazed, I have a temporary fix for you, brake hard a few times from speed in reverse, works every time for glazed pads.

Sounds good but also something one must do outside close range of houses and shops. Otherwise may be de-glazing more than the brakes!
