Preferred Coolant?

How fussy are we when it comes to coolant???

Is everyone sticking with the Owner's Manual recommendations i.e Shell Long Life OAT, Petronas Paraflu UP etc (for a QPVI in my case)? Or can you just throw a bit of Halfords own 'recommended' (as per their own website) stuff in?

I see Prestone coolant at £10.50 for 4 litres at Tescos with my Clubcard. Is that ok to use?

It seems Prestone don’t have a specification on their packaging or website for their coolant. The manual calls for this:



But unfortunately there is no way of knowing if it complies or not, short of asking them.
