been trying to get on with this new forum but it's so difficult to navigate around, it's set out like a dogs dinner. compared to the previous forum this is poor, why change to this?

Some people just don’t like change lol, I find it easy enough and I’m a fifty year old idiot in charge of electronic gadgets.

very often websites are changed just for the sake of change and this is a classic example of that

The look is different but the rest is much the same. I have only ever really used new posts as that shows me everything I need to see. Like the header now it's just a GTS also......

I prefer the revamped site, and there is more to come, and fully appreciate the effort that has gone into making it happen. Just give it some more time, and maybe offer some suggestions to Matt about ways you feel it can be improved.

The only issues I have with the new site are that its harder to find what has changed inside one of the forums and no tapatalk. I know the latter isn't everyone's favourite but it was my main way of interacting with the forum and worked for me. I'm not as active now because the web interface, although prettier, isn't as easy to use on my phone.

This change was necessary due to new data protection rules as far as I understand - I actually quite like it and I don't miss Tapatalk as I always found it clunky and it had a really old feel to it - horses for courses I guess

I am sorry you don't feel at home here since the change. The change was necessary and not simply to fiddle. This was all due to the GDPR regs that came in...we had to change.

If you would like to list your concerns, do so, I am more than happy to assist. I cant say I have heard of anyone else who has complained.

Also Steve, you can select a styling similar to the old one:

Scroll to the footer and select SportsMaserati LIGHT from the Style Chooser.

Are you mobile or a desktop user? I have put up a thread here for those who want TapaTalk back:

http://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/tapatalk-yes-or-no.26555/

I must say I am a little dissapointed in your attitude, we spend 9 months and £12k to bring you this new site, all of which was funded from the sponsors and my own pocket....for which we ask for nothing from our members.

Being a member of this forum for around 7 years or so, I found the new site to be a breath of fresh air. New logo, new layout and functionality are all welcome and much appreciated.
Like all changes it get's a bit of time to get used to it but all the content is there. We should remember that this forum is free and there's a minefield of information on here that will save us time and money, unless they want to go straight to Maserati and pay through the nose.

As can be seen by the radical change in posting, the new site is clearly causing issues :) I mean, AndyK and I in the top 10. Who'd have thought!
OK on a serious note, I can hardly recall what the old site was. Having been intimately involved in GDPR and technology, I'm glad I wasn't in Matt's shoes. As far as I can tell the new software works absolutely fine and is no worse than any other forum I frequent.
*Far more* importantly is the quality of information and help available here which currently shows no sign of reducing. The banter remains, well, the banter ;)
Onwards and upwards say I

Working with websites as I do the time and effort necessary to replatform should not be under estimated, the fact that Matt has done this on our behalf with no income or support from us should be applauded.

Only downside is that Benny managed to find his way here again, I guess we will see many more **** **** **** in his posts :)

I'd just like to take the opportunity to thank Conaero for continuing to provide such a convivial place to hang out. I appreciate that it is a lot of effort to migrate any IT platform (having done it myself), and it has been done with no inconvenience to me.

I think the new forum works better and now I don't have to squint to focus and click on the tiny blob that took you to the unread posts!

Shame it runs on Windows, should be something more exotic like AIX or IBMi.

It’s basically QP6, fancy on the outside but a Chrysler underneath.

I’ll get my coat....
