That’s mildly funny, guess you never compared the sound with a car already fitted with an xpipe.
Or are you just being greedy and want even more sound :).

Exactly I wasn’t sure what the original sound was like so just wanted it louder after looking on you tube but honestly gob smacked,so now just keeping foot on throttle a bit longer to see how loud it will go

Or maybe not !

Googled?

Basically an X has a link between the two exhausts coming from the separate banks which is at a roughly 45 deg angle. Making an Xshape
An H pipe has a direct pipe between the 2 separate banks, at 90 degrees making (you can guess this) an H shape ;)

Typically in discussion here we're always referring to un-silenced (technically un-resonated) X or H pipes. The original systems are X pipes with resonators.

The consensus (I think) is that H gives more of a yank muscle car grumble whereas an X gives more the howling wail so beloved of Ferrari et al.

You must have bought it from their e-bay site/ if you go direct on their own website they are £299. Mark up to allow for e-bay fees I suspect.

I've got my exact same X pipe sat in the front room ready to go on!

On my car (4200 but Gransport springs ) it was flaming awkward trying to see what exhaust I had installed before purchasing it, easy mistake to make not looking or being able to look.

Good luck with the sale.

Safe to say you will absolutely have an x-pipe. Question is, will you have two?
