Finally did it. 1500miles round trip, managed 4 laps, best time 10mins 20secs. True testimony to the masser, never missed a beat and got me home in one piece. Epic!!! :)

Unbelievable experience. The track was brutal and the traffic hostile, but amazing feeling to drive the GreenHell :)

I hope you did the 'ditch' at the Carousel. Best bit of the lap. It scared the sh!t out of me the first time I did it; full speed and didn't know what to expect. Fabulous!

Nope, I wanted to, but chickened out. I just could not believe how deep some parts of the track were. I'll just have to go again now.....:)

Be careful if/when you do; make sure you don't let your right hand wheels get up on to the track as it will try to pull you out of the ditch and into the side of whatever is there and if you do manage to stay in all the way round, it ejects you across the track (and anything coming up on your right) to the apex of the next right hander. Luckily, I got away with it!

Enjoyed that Parky69, your car sounded great plus I noticed as our confidence built you got faster and were more confendent with your lines around the bends......11:30....Not bad for a first as only 4 minutes of the lap record.....

Agreed, the car sounds great (played it through my main stereo system and it rumbles and howls like a good 'un), and you seemed to get more into it as you went on. Makes me want to go now...

Is your exhaust stock or modified?

Sort your lines out and you'll be 30 seconds a lap quicker, looked pretty much traffic free.

Cheers for the comments. That lap was my last, but the first I could use the lines without traffic. It does sound good and the gear changes seem pretty fast :) As for as i'm aware it's a stock exhaust, I've only had the car 12 weeks so still trying to find it's limits. I think with a few more laps I could definitely get the bridge to gantry time down. The confidence is trying to keep your foot down on the blind crests and trying to stop it on the downhill sections, there's a fair bit of weight in that motor :)

A well put together, calm and 'I'm bringing it home' lap well done; note to self I must upgrade the brakes before I ever venture on that track myself as the standards will be cooked by 1/4 way round :D

Oh yes there is this old classic showing the classic RUF test driver giving it beans... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftItnWRfGEU

Yep, spot on. The gains of a faster lap were outweighed by the £'s of repairs. I had the front discs changed and had ferodo ds2500 pads, no fade even on heavy braking above 100mph, they did smell though by the end of that lap :)
