Sadly I think the speed awareness course is not an option as I may have done one last year :(

I shall brace myself for 50% of my weekly income. Gah.

It will be 3 points and £100 fine. Your too high (annoyingly) for a speed awareness course.

**** knows. Gets my goat they won't give you the photo unless you contest. Then you lose all the possible advantages

I asked for a photo and they sent one. Guilt as charged so I just went on the speed awareness course.

I heard a story about a guy in America some years back. His local police department sent him a speeding ticket and a fine of $100. He asked for a photo, which they duly sent, so he sent back a photo of $100. The police then sent him a photo of some handcuffs. Apparently he paid after that.

Too high for speed awareness, but that sounds out any way as its not an option if you have attended one in the last 3 years. Looks like 3 points and up to a 50% fine - you are just a naughty boy

So I'm not the Messiah? Well that's something of a relief

Definitely too high for speed awareness.

I got caught doing 33mph in a 30mph zone and I got a speed awareness course. Twice. The second one was just after the 3 year limit. Literally by around 1 week.

I was told you should ask for a photo and then confirmation of the last time the camera was calibrated.

The first time I got caught I didn’t challenge and someone else must have because 6 months later I got a letter in the post saying the the camera had not been calibrated within the required time therefore my penalty was invalid.

Hoyin, that's extraordinary, Honestly, I'm amazed. I had no idea you drove over 25. Ever.

Steve the mechanic I use was test driving a customers car, a few days later the customer got a NIP, as it was within 1/2 an hour of him collecting it and the test drive they weren't sure who was driving so asked for evidence

When the picture came Steve held his hands up , the car was a robin hood and the picture showed 6'2" Steve driving looking over the top of the windscreen frame

All this 'smart' motorway stuff with avg speed checks, HADEC's cameras and overhead gantry matrix speed limits being switched on and off and changing numerals requires a lot of concentration to comply. Its not helped by lunatics who stick 6" behind me trying to shove me off lane 1 or lane 2 when there is nowhere to go drives me crazy. I use a Garmin sat nav and rely on its GPS speedo rather than the car speedo. The Porsche at 70 is GPS 65. The GS at 70 is 69 GPS as is the Merc E-class which is the only one with cruise control and speed limiter. This is invaluable for compliance. The Garmin sat nav shows the speed limit on the road - but sadly not cognizant of the overhead matrix speed limit signs which override the speed limit. Also the gantry limits are extremely sensitive - the camera gets you on the other side - there is little or no tolerance as the vehicle must be at the displayed limit as it hits the gantry. The HADECs cameras on the side cover all lanes. Despite all this, I am amazed at the tossers and lunatics who overtake me when I am on GPS compliance to the limit. And yes, I brake to slow down to the limit if the car has not decelerated to the limit - surprises the tossers in my rear view mirror;

Yeah that is what I told them as well.

The thing was after that I thought you know what I am going to drive below the speed limit. So I drove around at 29mph and it was bloody dangerous!!!

Impatient gits. Men and women driving right up to my bumper and always trying to overtake me. On residential roads.

After a couple of days I gave up. It was too scary.

Hmm curious. The NIP claims I was heading NB 7-8 . But I was heading southbound 8-7. Or *should* have been.

Confused
