Just to formally show my appreciation to Newton who picked up and delivered my engine from DL yesterday FOC.

We thought it fit to take the Spyder to the local pub where a good long Maserati chat took place.

Adam, its going to be a coffee table project but I think I am going to open her up and strip the innards, Crank, Con rods, Pistons, Camshafts etc and generally have a nose around and also have a look at the root of the engine failure...the combined oil/water pump.

Ill do a pictorial of what went wrong and what to look out for.

Ill clean all the engine casing, then my brother is going to do the drawings. I want a half inch piece of brushed aluminium for the base with 'Sports Maserati' laser'd out, then a brushed pier in each corner that will support the top glass, again with 'Sports Maserati' etched on the underside.

Well as luck would have it, my kitchen fitter dragged our new office sofa along the floor and burnt a whole in it, so I have some insurance money on its way to me.
