Hi guys, after seeing the prices of the clutch kits I've been looking at I have been looking into upgrading mine to Kevlar (lasts 3 times as long, doesn't fade and puts more power to the wheels.

Ended up finding a Ferrari specialist in London who done one for me for a lot cheaper than the standard new one.

What do you think:

Flywheel got lightened and balanced again too

I'm impressed with the quality of workmanship - once it's fitted I'll let u all know how it feels.

Andrew @ MD Clutches is great.
I saw some pictures of your clutch on FB - looked good.

Common knowledge on here suggests that Kevlar clutches are difficult to set up on CC gearboxes. Is yours a manual? I've seen MD clutches advertised so I would be interested in your results.

I'll have to have a look on fb for them

Mine is padel shift... Don't think it's going to be hard to set up. Just going to take my time for a few hundred miles to make sure that's all. But Andrew said it should improve the gear change making it smoother too

Keep us posted, it's always good to add a bit more experience to the mix.

It's been talked about for years, but never I believe been done and reported on, certainly not in the UK.
So do please keep us updated on your findings.
If its not too early to ask, who is the specialist and at what cost?
Thanks.

I think it's been done in the US and reported as a failure. Perhaps Craig can elucidate

MD Clutches and a little under £1000 - Andy has been doing these for years.... Personally can't see why it would fail?

I guess it might just be me, but navigating this thread seems very broken. I can only get the first page or if I press 'first unread post' I get taken to the forum home.

I assume this is because of the smiley in the title not being correctly escaped, but other than that, no idea.

Could a mod edit the title, perhaps?

Have a read of the thread "GranSport clutch PIS". The last post relates to Craig's experience with Kevlar clutches....

No, me too, on several different devices.
Also on a few other threads too.

Yeah can only get to your post by clicking directly from the activity stream.

Zep and Paul seem to have no trouble.
