I am hoping to go to the Apprenticeship open evening in February, i really really want to work there, wanted to work therer since i was 13, i was fortunate enough to have a work experience placement for 2 weeks whilst at my high school, i was in the power train systems department.

It's a small world, I work in the Powertrain department so I sit just across the office from the Powertrain Systems guys. Unknowingly I've probably seen you there when you were doing your placement.

You should definitely come along to the open evening and get some details of the apprenticeship scheme - Bentley is a pretty good place to work and it could certainly use someone with your enthusiasm. If you do apply let me know and I'll put a word in for you with our Personnel department if you want me to, not sure how much difference it'll make but it can't hurt. It's good that you've already done some work experience at Bentley - they love that sort of thing on your application form!

I remember some of the guys i worked with, I worked with Dan Page, Ben Pembroke, and Chrstian Powell, all 3 were great people to work with. If you could put a word in for me, that would be awesome and i would really appreciate that. I am ringing Bentley tomorrow just to confirm when the open evening is, i rung up about 3 months ago, i am sure i was told it was February but just want to make sure. I also have around 18 weeks of work experience at a Ferrari and Porsche specialist in Holmes Chapel, i hope that will also stand me in good stead and give me an advantage over the other applicants.

I know Dan and Ben very well, don't recognise Christians name but probably would know him if I saw him.

I'll have a look on the intranet and see if I can find any info on the open evenings and send it to you if I come across anything.

You've certainly got a lot more relevant experience than most other applicants so I think you'll be fine. Keep me posted how you get on and anything I can do to help then feel free to drop me an email.
