MOT Today

I was very pleased that the GTS sailed through today. There was just one advisory which, thanks to the Vehicle MOT History website, will be there forever more ......





Surely this is a badge of honour - does anyone else here have one?!

My last MOTer was mumbling that my exhaust was far too loud, but he passed it anyway. I didn't push things by telling him that the valves were shut.

I've had "Wheels look a bit sh1t" before as an advisory done by a mate.

What's with all this anti social behaviour ..In a couple of years time it'll be a fail if over 90 decibels, so have fun while its lasts

But Wou.. if we all vote to leave in June, all the above EU legislation will eventually be in the bin!

Out of curiosity was your sport mode on?

I have fitted MC Corsa mufflers on my 4.2, and because I don't have a sport button, my "loud sport mode" is always on... I fear my MOT badge of honor comes in the form of a fail when I take it for MOT next Jan

He has a full Larini system and I mean full! So even without sport mode it will be louder than an X piped and straight through standard 4.2 GT lol

Indeed, the sport mode was not on - if it had been, the advisory would have been more than 'noisy' that's for certain!!!

Well, my car is way louder than x-pipe and standard 4.2. I have the MC back boxes, and it really hurts already... I might order the valves and remote from formula dynamics, just in case...

Why not pop into an MOT station and have them check the dB level for you at 3,000rpm and then you'll know whether or not you will need to quieten your boxes? Make sure the engine is warmed up first though as they are definitely noisy when cold
