Merak SS values

So the "Aston Workshop" Merak is back from McGrath's and it's getting prepped for sale on Collecting Cars.
I have owned many lovely cars over the last 20 years and I am genuinely surprised that the value of my Merak has fallen since I bought it 7 years ago when most other classics and modern classics went the other direction.
It'll be interesting to see what it makes on CC. I'm just not using the car enough and it should be with someone who will use it more than me.
have you got your ff yet?

Yes, arrived in April, but I'm having issues with security for it in Central London. Car thieves in Knightsbridge have been targeting V12 Ferraris and Rolls Royce Cullinans. 6 have gone missing in the last month within 500m of Sloane Street. They take them off the street or from inside underground car parks like Park. I street park in Belgravia for 3 nights each week. last week a new Bentley parked opposite mine was attacked. They cut open the front bumper with an angle grinder to remove 2 units behind the bumper, which are currently unavailable from Bentley. So the thieves source them using this method. The next morning a police officer told me to "get my car off the street as it will go missing".

The FF is such an awesome car. As a man in my mid 50's who commutes North Norfolk to London each week for work, it does everything that I need. I am having a think about what to do.

I'm not sure Merak values have fallen, they appear to have been creeping upwards. Asking prices got a bit speculative, so maybe you bought at the top end.

Maybe I overpaid. It had just had a fully documented £130,000 bare metal restoration so I thought £85,000 was a great price back in 2017.

My uncle used to live on Wilton Crescent.. He rented a garage nearby for his Jaaaaag back in the day. I remember listening to the music from Hair on the 8 track as I was ferried back to school at the beginning of term.

Wilton Cresent is 200 meters from my Office. I wonder why Maserati classic values have not followed the other sportswear marques? My Merak is really fun and lithe. It looks beautiful and has the wonderful 'Bora' interior. 70's supercar looks and style. I find this confusing.

Harry Metcalfe liked the Merak too. This one used to be owned by a friend of mine in Norfolk.

I quite like the Citroen hydraulic system. It works brilliantly and is very well engineered. At first I was embarrassed by the Citroen connection, until I began to appreciate the history of the 2 firms and the engineering brilliance of Citroen during this period.
