That is a good deal but you really need to know what you're doing before getting to work with one of these

The kestrel is as good as the Meg but at half the price IMO.

I agree the equivalent kestrel das6 kit is £150 or the das6 pro kit is around £175.

Im not saying the mt320 isnt a good machine. Its just more expenaive than it needs to be.

You'd have to be pretty ham fisted to damage the paintwork with one of these.

Makes applying paint cleaner other similar products a breeze.

Agreed, a little demo and a few YouTube demos and you should be good to go.

I started off simply using a DA, now I use 3000 grit wet and dry straight on the paintwork which was "oh no what have I done" at first but as long as you have the lacquer depth is ok to do.

Hum....no...close my eyes and rub :-0

The panel had been repainted recently and was going in to be done again so I thought what the heck and it took a deep scratch out to perfection...I suppose I got lucky.

The turning point for me and DA, was to get the right compounds. They are not cheap and I use 3M Yellow/Green/Blue. The Blue (Supafina) is amazing stuff:

:() that's the way... close your eyes and go for it - works in a lot of situations :)

3M stuff is great and I use a lot but on some *** cars with sticky paint it can be annoying

finish results looks amazing

to all - I would always suggest a depth gauge and light gun if your doing any sanding

Maserati paintwork responds well to the Microfibre System from Meguiars and D300 Compound. The only issue with the 3m system is the product is aged now in term,s of paint finishing technology and as any one knows using Greentop over 1200 rpm on a Rotary or a serious amount of orbits on a DA or Rupes Bigfoot with medium to high pressure to get the warmth up results in lots of dust. Having a diminishing or oil free product will always work better especially on darker colours with less marring etc and the microfibre system can be lightly lifted at the end and swopped to a finishing pad to work off the oils left for final burnishing. Id always recommend it to anyone. Ive used it since introduction and testing stages with Meguiars.
