A shame it's not in Chester, I'd love it, but above me for now but one day.

I had a look (and a listen to this) wen it was at Lancaster in Colchester for its pre-sale check-over. A very nice car beautifully finished. Sounded great, too. Nareman advertised it with just 8k miles on it and said at the time he didn't think the new owner would keep it long as the guy's a serial buyer and seller. IIRC the asking price then was around 85k.

Indeed it was.I did a lot of home work on the car when it first appeared,as it was my dream spec.To state it was a special order is a tad mis-leading, at it wasn't done by the factory,it was done by Nuvola IIRC.
Can't wait for the new 4 seat Strad to appear with a bit of depreciation in a couple of years time, I'll be straight in!

Special order does rather stretch the facts a bit, you're right... some creative marketing on the part of the current seller, perhaps. Nareman is OCD with his cars (mine came from him) and it shows in the quality of finish on this one.

Agree re the new 4 seater, which I'm told is available for order now. Shame it still wouldn't qualify as a supercar at Goodwood or Wilton House.

I really like that car. Can you tell me, I have never noticed the bonnet vents on the Strad is that standard or "special order"

Standard. Great, aren't they? Also the venting behind the front wheels gives the car a far more focused and determined appearance. Takes it from GT to look far more like a track car.

It does Adam yes, why they made it a 2 seater I will never know. They should have bunged the seats in and made them easy to remove.

Love the car...Caught my eye when it was up before....The 4 seats are a real deal breaker if I was in the market.....Well done conversion as well.

Surely it would have been easier to have made them a delete option like Lotus and AM do?

A dealer told me of great embarrassment when a buyer really wanted a 4-seat Strad and they told him Maserati was resolute it would never make one. A week after processing the order for a 2-seater came Maserati's 4-seat announcement. No idea if they struck a deal, but 2-seats only was wrong from the start.

It was a bit weird why it wasn't an option BB....Dick Lovett told me they could have sold a shed load of them if they had 2 more seats.....
